DGI brings together heads of geospatial intelligence, remote sensing, GIS data & mapping, satellite imagery and analysis within the the military, governmental, and intelligence sectors. Addressing the use of geospatial information in scenarios such as international conflicts, defence operations, C4ISR, humanitarian disasters, crime, national security, border control, arms treaty monitoring and global climate change, the fundamental objective of DGI is to help both organisations understand how to build the necessary infrastructure and architecture to take advantage of geospatial intelligence capabilities.

New for 2013:

Multi-Int will form the basis of next year’s DGI conference. With Geospatial information forming the core of every intelligence, defence and national security operation, it is not surprising that the conference speakers, advisory board and delegates felt it important to incorporate all disciplines of multi-int into the agenda of DGI 2013. Case study presentations from geo and multi-int professionals will be focusing on the value and growing importance of geospatial knowledge and analytics. It is no longer only about geo, it is all about mission management and building a common operational picture.

Key topics for DGI 2013 will include:

  • Mission management and geoint
  • Achieving operational effectiveness through common operational picture
  • Using geospatial information and analysis for every decision in-theatre and in HQ
  • Building architecture to support complex systems and multi-level decisions
  • Working in partnership with all multi-int disciplines to ensure transparency and interoperability across agencies and nations
