Working for UniCredit Group since 2006, Alberto Ricciotti is head of a team in charge the financial modelling for CFO area with a special focus on Pricing Discipline, Credit Treasury and IAS purposes. Within this role he has to face crucial issues like modelling capabilities, performances, perimeter enlargement, data modeling and management.
Andre Kelekis is currently Head of Strategy for Market Data at BNP Paribas. His role is to analyse the market data landscape including all factors such as regulations, mergers, IT innovations, etc, that can impact it. He works on the offer side (vendors, new ventures to widen the offer) as well as the demand side (BNP Paribas business lines).
Angela entered Parliament in 1992 as MP for Erewash and was Economic Secretary to the Treasury between 1995 and 1997, when she lost her seat at the General Election. She was the Chief Executive of the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers from September 1997 to December 2006. She is currently the Chief Executive of the British Bankers Association. She is also a non-executive director on the boards of IFSL, Brewin Dolphin plc and the Financial Services Skills Council.
Angela Wilbraham, chief executive officer based in London, founded A-Team Group in 2000. She has spent years analysing trends and business developments and has a real passion for the financial information technology industry. Angela has a distinguished track record of conducting in-depth market research studies of strategies, market positioning and user requirements on behalf of financial information and technology providers, and consumers. She expanded on A-Team’s core consulting services in 2001 to launch a range of publications and research reports dedicated to the specialist sectors within the industry.
Antonio has worked at Millennium bcp (the largest privately owned Banking Group in Portugal) since 1994. His experience in the organisation ranges from investment banking and project finance to OTC derivatives, ISDA support (documentation, collateral management & calculation agent) and financial contents (price & reference data). His main responsibility is supervising, control and follow-up the different areas that are part of it, namely: Brokerage Unit, Securitization Unit and Financial Contents & ISDA Support Unit.
Arnt-Erik Hansen is a senior project leader working for a global financial service organization in Switzerland. He has 12+ years of experience leading strategic and complex projects ranging from single client view, enterprise wide architecture, standards and governance, to regulatory compliance. He is a chartered member of the International Association for Information and Data Quality and has served on the IAIDQ Board as the Vice President of Member Services.
Bala Nayar is a Senior Business Architect in the Finance Architecture and Standards group at Citi, and is helping to articulate and implement a strategic Finance Architecture and Roadmap. Earlier roles at Citi include assisting with the development of a Performance Measurement Framework, and leading the Data Standards Program.
Chris joined HSBC Securities Services, in August 2006, as is the Head of Market Data Services, Global Product Management. Chris was previously at Threadneedle Investments, for three years, where he was Head of Investment Information Services. Prior to joining Threadneedle he was a Director at UBS. Chris is a member of the Securities and Investment Institute.
In December 2008, David Berry joined UBS in the Market Data Global Sourcing department He was Head of Procurement and Cost Control Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets Europe from May to Nov 2008. From 2006 to 2008 he was Global Head of Market Data at Barclays Capital, the Investment Banking arm of Barclays Bank PLC. He is Vice-President of COSSIOM in charge of relations with IPUG, Member of the Executive Committee at IPUG and Co-Chair of the Consumer Constituent Group at FISD.
Evangelos is a Vice President at Morgan Stanley, where he leads initiatives in the space of hosting, virtualization, and cloud computing. His focus is on improving the business value of global-scale enterprise infrastructures by combining novel technologies with entrepreneurial business models and strategies that improve efficiency, manageability, flexibility, and reliability.
Francis’ division is responsible for external statistics (BoP, FDI, etc) of the Euro area and for coordinating their harmonisation across the EU. He is also responsible for the Centralised Securities Database (CSDB), which contains data on individual securities relevant to Euro area statistics. Francis joined the ECB in 2001 as Head of Organisational Planning and moved to his current position in 2006.
Greg Hanson joined Informatica in 2001 bringing over 5 years of experience in Data warehousing, Customer Analytics, application development and Call center operations with him. Greg currently serves as the Director of Pre-Sales for Northern Europe. He is responsible principally for Solutions Development and enablement of Partners and the Alliance community.
Ian was Global Head of Market Data at BGI from early 2005 to 2008. He was responsible for both the daily operations and the market data spend. In November 2008 Ian joined UBS Global Asset Management as global head of data management.
Mal Cullen joined Eagle in 2001 and is responsible for Eagle’s Canadian operations and for Eagle Access LLC, Eagle’s application service provider (ASP). In this role, Mr. Cullen is responsible for overall operations and future growth and direction of Eagle ACCESSSM and of Eagle’s Canadian business for sales, marketing, services and support in Eagle’s Canadian locations. Mr. Cullen has over 18 years experience in the development, sales, implementation and support of investment management software solutions. Mr. Cullen is headquartered in Eagle’s Toronto office.
Prior to joining Eagle, Mr. Cullen spent 12 years at Financial Models Company (FMC). Over the years, he has successfully led the design and implementation of large-scale software installations throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.
Mr. Cullen holds an Honors Bachelor of Applied Economics with minor in Management Studies from the University of Waterloo.
Julia joined Credit Suisse in 2007 as a Strategic Development Manager at the Market Information Business Management team. Since then she took an active part in promoting the team’s services across the Bank, raising awareness about data compliance issues, assisting the management team to define the strategy and tactical plans to deliver value to the business clients and improve co-operation with other data management stakeholders. She also leads a number of operational improvement projects. Prior to Credit Suisse, Julia spent 9 years at Ernst&Young providing management consulting services to financial institutions, and several years in various operational management roles in the banking industry.
Karla McKenna manages the Industry Leadership group for Citi Securities and Fund Services. This group is responsible for Citi’s participation and representation on national and international industry standards organizations and for implementation of standard messaging for the Securities industry. Ms. McKenna chairs ISO TC68 (International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee 68) that develops and maintains international standards for the Financial Services industry.
In her current role, Katherine and her team manage significant programmes across both market data and instrument reference data for HSBC's Global Banking & Markets division. 2008 initiatives include a Data Operations Transformation Programme, migrating global reference data maintenance tasks to a single hub in Bangalore, India, as well as implementing GRDS, HSBC's strategic reference data solution, working closely with IT to deliver a single strategic source of reference data to credit, fixed income & equities asset classes as well as generic services such as calendar, ratings and cross reference.
Keith Hale has 18 years experience in financial services software specializing in data management and reporting projects solution for investment managers, custodians, prime brokers and fund administrators. Keith is a founder of Netik and currently EVP, EMEA responsible for the sales, client services and implementation of Netik’s products and services in the region. Keith has overseen sale and then delivery of more than 30 implementations of Netik products, providing clients with state of the art data management and reporting solutions. Previously Keith has worked for financial services software vendors and consulting firms in roles including account management, programme management, business analysis and software development.
Ken co-founded what is now Avox in April 2002. In conjunction with strong support from initial clients including Citi, Barclays Capital and Standard Bank, Avox has grown into a global data management service firm. Its success is attributed to the unique collaborative approach which empowers clients and the general public via www.wiki-data.com to participate in the process of keeping entity data up to date and accurate. Ken has worked in both risk management and data management for the past 15 years.
Along with software development experience in India, Kunal has worked for Lehman Brothers in Capital Markets, across Equities, Equity Derivatives and Prime Brokerage for over 3 years. Kunal is currently working in Nomura International, Liquid Markets Product Management in London.
Llew first joined Barclays Capital in 2001 as part of their efforts to centralise time series data and has previously spent 4 years at Thomson Financial where he was responsible for data quality. Since Joining Barclays Capital Llew has overseen numerous upgrades and enhancements to it’s reference data infrastructure as well as taking turns to lead the production teams for time series, instruments static, and client static. With a well rounded background Llew now has migrated to a role purely focused on change and strategy and comes fresh from putting in place a central store of SSI data.
Loretta Etheridge started at HSBC in 2005 as a project manager in the Data Control Centre and then became responsible for the Client Change Management team. In April 2007 she joined the newly-formed EDM Team and is currently responsible for the Data Operations and Change Management functions.
Matt Cox is a Managing Director based in the London branch of The Bank of New York Mellon. He is responsible for all Securities Data functions across the various accounting systems for the Bank’s Outsourcing Client’s in the EMEA region. Included in his responsibilities is the Security Pricing, Accounting Corporate Actions, Security Master Adds and Maintenance.
Michael Kollak is member of several working and experts group at CESR (Committee of European Securities Regulators) and works for the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority in Germany (BaFin) for over 10 years. He studied physics, started working as a project manager at the BaFin, became approved stock exchange broker in 2001 and is now, in his function as Director Securities Supervision, head of the department ‘Reporting Requirements’.
Michael is Enterprise Information Solutions Designer for AIB Bank. Through this, and various IT management roles, Michael has been a key influencer on the design and deployment of the Enterprise Data Warehouse in AIB over the past decade.
Michael was Chairman of the UK & Ireland Teradata User Group in 2003 & 2004, has presented and published widely on Data Warehouse related topics and has just completed an M.Sc. In Organisational Behaviour.
Mike is well known in the industry as someone who is trying to drive through change to reference data management and push for data standardisation across the financial regulators as well as vendors. The EDM Council which is a business forum for financial institutions and has been designed to enable senior officers responsible for content management to share information on the business strategies and practical implementation realities associated achieving enterprise-wide control over data content. Mike has also been involved with many other organisations including the Reference Data Coalition (REDAC) and the UK Reference Data User Group (RDUG).
Nick leads the Strategy function for Global Data Management within Northern Trust. He is responsible for working with all Northern Trust’s businesses and operations practices in defining the business vision for data management and for initiating and delivering strategic programmes. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Nick was Global Head of Market and Common Reference Data for ABN AMRO.
Nigel Matthews is Global Head of Product Management for Enterprise Platform, an enterprise data management platform that unifies the acquisition, management and distribution of multi-source market and reference data. Nigel is responsible for defining product strategy and roadmap as well as supporting delivery of the business solutions architecture.
Nigel has fifteen years experience in business development, sales, pre-sales and delivery of IT solutions to the Capital Markets. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Nigel was Business Development Manager for Capital Markets at AEMS delivering solutions for clearing and settlements, funds distribution and structured product lifecycle management.
Nigel has a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering and holds an ACI Diploma in Money Markets. He is also a Member of the Securities & Investment Institute and has formerly chaired industry forums such as JWG-IT Technology Special Interest Group (TechSIG).
Olivier joined Fund Administration Division of Societe Generale Securities Services in 2004. He is Project and International responsible for the European Data Management Hub and since 2008 in charge of any related International matter. Previously, he had a long experience in various subjects regarding Market and Insurance activities and specifically Operations, Fund Administration and IT developments. Having worked within International Companies (including US and Japanese), he participated in various influential bodies to sponsor market participants point of view."
The Client On Boarding group at BarCap is responsible for performing all aspects of KYC/AML and sanction screening in addition to enterprise data management across a host of downstream front and back end systems. The group operates on a global basis and manages new business requests across all asset classes. Previous to his role at BarCap, Richard has held a variety of regulatory roles including both Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
Sally Hinds has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 Years. She has headed market data and IT teams at Morgan Grenfell, CSFB and UBS. She joined HSBC in late 05 as Global Hd of Market Data IT, after working as a consultant at Capco. In mid 2006 she also took on Instrument Reference Data IT then in Jan 07 moved to the business and was appointed Global Head of Enterprise Data Management.
Working in Financial Services since 1985, Soeren is the former Head of Risk Management at Nomura International, ABN AMRO London, Unibank (now Nordea Bank). He has been in charge of Financial Instrument and party database projects at several points of his career. He was Commercial Director of Finsoft Ltd, where he also had the responsibility for the company’s products for the financial sector.
John joined SmartStream in 2008 as Regional Director for the UK, and brought significant management experience to the company, having worked in the financial technology industry for many years in both the UK and Europe. As SmartStream’s CEO for Utilities he is responsible for leveraging SmartStream technology to create and run industry utilities to meet the ever increasing need to drive down cost per trade.
Prior to joining SmartStream, John worked for Capco Reference Data Service/Netik LLC as Managing Director for EMEA. Other previous positions include management roles at a number of software vendors including BCS Plc, Aleri and GoldenSource.
