Central and Eastern Europe has become an important centre for the world's automotive industry. The automotive sector is one of Hungary's core industries; the number of first and second-tier equipment manufacturers is continually rising. As a result, many multinational companies have also relocated their manufacturing, service operations, European headquarters and R&D centres to Hungary.
