Amala provides strategic advice to private equity firms, focusing on capital raising, brand development and marketing and organisational change. Mr Simpson co-founded Amala in 2008, having spent the previous 15 years as a Director of Helix Associates, a private equity placement agent, which he co-founded in 1993. Previously, Mr Simpson was a Director of Berkeley Govett (UK) Limited and before that an Associate Director in the Global Private Equity Placement Group at Continental Bank NA. Over the course of the last 20 years, Mr Simpson has advised and raised capital for a broad range of private equity firms including Graphite Capital, Exponent Private Equity, Bridgepoint Capital, GB Deutschland, Madison Dearborn, Piper Private Equity and Quadriga Capital among others. Mr Simpson has an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.
