Synchronized Supply Chain Day

This day focuses on the end-to-end integration and synchronization of supply chain processes and systems to enable increased visibility and support to the Warfighter. While the current DoD Supply Chain remains fragmented and stovepiped, the Services and Defense Agencies are doing some networking of capabilities, with the goal of synchronization. A synchronized supply chain will increase visibility, save resources and provide better support to the Warfighter.

The military enterprise is vast, and, while organizations and processes have been streamlined, they are by no means consolidated into a single structure. With a holistic view of the supply chain it is possible to understand the impact of actions across the entire chain, not just within a single service. A joint, end-to-end view is essential to provide the kind of support our Soldiers deserve.
