Currently, hold the position as Head of Global Program Management at OMV in the core business of Exploration and Production. It includes setting the global directive for all geographies for the OMV Aktiengesellschaft in the areas of project portfolio management.

 
This also includes aligning the portfolio stakeholders towards OMV’s performance goals and being accountable for the portfolio delivery and the corresponding budgets.


Prior to OMV - I started my employment with Accenture in 1999 in the Sydney office and transferred to the Vienna office in 2001. My final position was as Manager in the Austrian practice.

The clients were predominantly cross-industry, with special focus on supply chain management topics and large IT implementations/ transformation engagements specifically in the area of production process, material management and sales and distribution.

I have solid skills in project management, experience in legacy conversions, strategic IT assessments, restructuring organizations, and supply chain management - focus on logistics.

Over the past 12 years, he has worked exclusively within the area of knowledge management, having engaged with over two-dozen multinational corporations in developing their KM solutions. He has published white papers and written extensively on the challenges and technical aspects of translating knowledge management into workable solutions within global corporations, and works closely within the community of KM practitioners to develop new technologies.

He has held a variety of technical and supervisory roles within Chevron’s technology company and its domestic operating company. These positions have included the fields of seismic data acquisition, seismic processing, software development, exploration interpretation, geophysical coordination, drilling hazards assessment, and applications and information management support. His current interest is in the area of information discovery.

Jim is a global expert advisor in Knowledge Management processes and technologies. He has pioneered and led some of the most successful and wide ranging organizational KM implementations in industry and is also an expert in deploying SharePoint as the technical backbone for enabling collaborative communities. He has built and currently operates a large scale global implementation of over 70 KM collaborative communities within ConocoPhillips, using his unique methodology. In addition, he is also leading a similar implementation at Agip KCO, a large oil & gas partnership headquartered in Italy. Jim has also been an advisor to Shell, BP, LukOil and Petronas in the oil industry.


In 1991, Jim pioneered and co-founded the well-known Ernst & Young Center for Business Knowledge (CBK). In his career he has pioneered and founded several KM concepts and has worked with numerous well-known organizations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Fujitsu Corporation, Deloitte & Touche, BMW, Ford Motor, Michelin, Eli Lilly, FirstEnergy Corp. (US).
Mr. Kochan has also spoken and lectured widely on the subject of Knowledge Management in both the US and Europe and he has also written several white papers on the subject. He holds a BBA from Cleveland State University in Operations Management as well as an MBA from CSU.

Arif Mustafa is CIO of BP North America Gas and has been an employee of the Group since 2004. Prior to his current role, Arif was the global programme lead for BP’s Control of Work Functional Standard.

Arif’s undergraduate degree is in Business Information Technology and he holds an MSc in Cognitive Science (Manchester University). He has worked in the Oil and Gas industry for 15 years, starting with Shell who sponsored his PhD thesis "Implementation of Innovation in Multinationals" (Leiden University). Prior to working for BP, Arif was a management consultant for numerous energy clients including ExxonMobil and ChevronTexaco.

Recently he has created the Kaleidoscope Project that has been awarded by Computerworld as the most innovative project of 2006 bringing together Business and Technology. Francisco has authored and co-authored numerous technical papers presented in international conferences.

Dr. Paul Stone is a Technology Director in the team reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, Information Technology and Services, BP

Paul is responsible for the CTO’s digital technology introduction programme which ensures a rigorous process of new technology evaluation. Through proof of concept and business trials, new digital technologies are evaluated for business value to BP as well as sustainability and scalability. Paul has also more recently been responsible for the CTO Predictive Analytics programme which has introduced predictive analytics and pattern recognition techniques into BPs Businesses to create more effective operations.

In his 25 year career with BP, Paul has held numerous posts in operations and digital technology management, digital technology and e-business consulting as well as strategy and architecture.

Paul received his PhD. degree in Chemistry from Oxford, University, UK, and MSc degree in Business Process Management from Cranfield University, UK.
