| Don Paul is the Vice President for special projects for Chevron Corporation. Recently, Don was the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for Chevron’s three technology companies: Energy Technology, Information Technology and Technology Ventures. In this role, he managed the research, development and integrated application of technology throughout the company’s worldwide business activities. He was also the corporate compliance officer for global cyber-security and information protection. Don joined the company in 1975 as a research geophysicist in La Habra, California. During his 32 year career, Paul has held a variety of management positions of increasing responsibility in both the upstream business and technology, including President of Chevron Petroluem Technology Co., and President of Chevron Canada Resources Ltd. |

| Steve Fortune currently holds the position of Information Management Director for the BP Gulf of Mexico Strategic Performance Unit. Steve is a Chemical Engineer with 16 years of experience in project and operational roles within the BP Group. He started his career in the UK with BP Chemicals working in operations, providing manufacturing support for the Acetyls business. After moving through a number of operations and project positions, Steve joined the E&P Segment to take the lead on developing a new BP proprietary Gas to Liquids technology, converting Natural Gas to Synthetic Fuels. During this time he moved through the roles of Engineering Manager, Commissioning Manager, and then the Asset Team Leader for the operation of the GTL business, working both in Houston and Alaska. Steve moved to his current position as Information Management Director in November 2003 and has responsibility for all Information Management related projects and the Field of the Future distinctive technology program in the Gulf of Mexico. |

His goal is to integrate technical workflows and data management in new ways to enhance productivity and sharing. He began work in YPF in Reservoir Simulations in December 1994. In 1997 he was named IT Product Champion for YPF. His responsibilities included the identification of new ideas and their rapid application within the company. He was IT Manager in E&P for Europe, Africa, Asia and North America from 1999-2001. From 2001-2005, he was Director of e-Business for Upstream, and in that role he began, to development of first Knowledge Management initiatives. From 2005-2006 he headed Knowledge Management for Repsol YPF to define global policies and initiatives. From 2006-2007 he was Director of Knowledge Management and Capabilities for Upstream to pursue the group vs individual aspects of KM in E&P. He has a PhD in Physics from the University of Florida, granted in 1992. |

She was Manager Petroleum Engineering Department in NPDC, Benin, Edo-State the E&P arm of NNPC , Deputy Manager Reservoir Engineering, in NPDC , Deputy Manager Production Joint Venture Operations NAPIMS, and Project Leader for various NNPC/Chevron field development projects viz a viz Olero Creek Project, Benin River Project, Ewan Project and Opolo Project. She was the NNPC resident Project Engineer in Paris, France, for the NNPC/ELF Afia-Odudu field development project working directly with SOFRESID Engineering Contractors in collaboration with ELF. She was the cost engineer in-charge all the NNPC Joint Venture Partners cash calls and the materials Engineer in charge of all the NNPC Joint Venture Partners materials management. She worked briefly in the downstream for nine years as a process engineer supervising the petrochemicals project from inception to commissioning. |

Steve is a chartered engineer with a practical engineering knowledge of all phases of major projects. Prior to forming Pearson-Harper in 1992, Steve worked for BP as a Senior Engineer, specialising in Instrumentation and Control and IT issues. Nowadays he is widely recognised as an authority in the field of engineering content management and is regularly asked to speak at conferences and seminars.
Steve has helped many blue chip operators define their engineering information needs and his practical and pragmatic approach to handling engineering content has enabled clients to save many millions of pounds. In addition to his overall role as managing director of the company, Steve carries ultimate responsibility for all our projects. Paul is responsible for the CTO’s digital technology introduction programme which ensures a rigorous process of new technology evaluation. Through proof of concept and business trials, new digital technologies are evaluated for business value to BP as well as sustainability and scalability. Paul has also more recently been responsible for the CTO Predictive Analytics programme which has introduced predictive analytics and pattern recognition techniques into BPs Businesses to create more effective operations. In his 25 year career with BP, Paul has held numerous posts in operations and digital technology management, digital technology and e-business consulting as well as strategy and architecture. Paul received his PhD. degree in Chemistry from Oxford, University, UK, and MSc degree in Business Process Management from Cranfield University, UK. |
