Logistics Officer Association (LOA)

Since 1982, the Logistics Officer Association has been providing professional development opportunities and support to professional military logisticians. LOA currently comprises over 3,000 military officers and civilians within logistics fields around the globe. LOA was born from the Maintenance Officer Association (MOA) and officially evolved into the Logistics Officer Association in 1999.

The purpose of the Logistics Officer Association is to develop professionals and to foster innovation to enhance logistics within the national security environment. Involvement in LOA expands technical knowledge and logistics understanding to new levels, and increases each member’s network to a larger group of logistics professionals that can help solve operational problems.

The LOA community is built upon its 70+ chapters around the world, with new chapters forming regularly as our overseas contingency operations continue to evolve. LOA has a strong relationship with industry and is fortunate to have over 80 corporate partners involved with the organization.
