Maulik Parekh, President and CEO, SPi Global

Prior to joining SPi Global Solutions, Maulik was Executive Vice President of Asia Operations for TeleTech Holdings. At TeleTech, Maulik orchestrated a growth strategy that increased the company's Asian presence from 6,000 employees to over 22,000 employees across 14 sites. Under his leadership, the company won seven industry awards including the BPO Company of the Year from the ICT Committee in the Philippines. Prior to joining TeleTech, Maulik was with Dish Network, a leading satellite TV provider in the USA, where he initiated the company's off-shoring strategy in India and the Philippines, led the Direct Sales Division and managed an operational team of more than 4,000 employees. Maulik has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Gujarat University, India and an International MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA.

Steven Kramer, President and co-Founder, iCongo Inc.

As President and co-founder of iCongo, Inc., Steven Kramer has led the company in a continuous cycle of innovation and growth, enabling iCongo to become a leading provider of cross-channel retail e-commerce and business-to-business e-commerce systems. Under his guidance, iCongo has developed into a leader in next generation e-commerce systems. Steven is responsible for the long term product and technology vision at iCongo including corporate strategy, research and development, product management and fostering iCongo's commitment to e-commerce software innovation.

Prior to joining iCongo, Steven led supply chain enterprise system implementations for large retail and manufacturing companies at Richter Systems Inc. Steven holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Information Systems from McGill University.

In 2010, Steven received the Sam Steinberg Award for Young Entrepreneur of the Year, an honor given by the ProMontreal Annual Awards celebrating successful business leaders in Montreal under the age of 45. The award recognizes talented and creative business leaders driving success in innovative new businesses and in growing established leaders within the community.

Roy Hessel is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of EyeBuyDirect.com, the leader and innovator of Web-interactive optical retail. As a global prescription lab and internet retailer of affordable eyewear, EyeBuyDirect manufactures and offers fashionable, high quality frame and lens packages for the budget conscious and style-savvy consumer.

In 2005, Hessel founded EyeBuyDirect with the vision that “sight should be a right and not a privilege”. In a short period of time, his commitment to make prescription eyewear affordable and accessible to everyone, has led to EyeBuyDirect’s global success. Regarded as the leader in the online optical retail industry, the company has a growing staff of 130 experienced designers, engineers and customer service specialists that deliver eyeglasses throughout the world.

Hessel’s professional experience is rooted in the medical and technology fields. Prior to founding EyeBuyDirect, he was an analyst with Giza Venture Capital, an international investor in seed and early-stage technology companies. His experience also expands to the M&A and Licensing industries, having worked with the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research. In 2001, Hessel was hired to manage a team responsible for designing and commercializing plans for in-Silico Modeling Technology for use in vaccine development at Physiome Sciences.

Hessel has a MBA from Rutgers Business School, following his bachelor’s studies in Economics and Philosophy at Tel Aviv University. At the young age 16, Hessel was admitted to The George Washington University and was awarded the International Presidential Scholarship. He is married to Katia, and father to their son Liam.

Yona Shem, CEO, Beyond the Rack

Yona Shtern is an accomplished consumer marketer with over 20 years experience in online, direct, and retail marketing across a variety of product categories, including beauty and fashion, telecommunications, and consumer products. Prior to co-founding Beyond the Rack, Yona was CMO of Ice.com, one of the most successful North American jewelry e-tailers. Yona was also CEO of Gosh Marketing, a leading consumer products company that supplies many of North America's most important retailers. Previously, Yona held executive positions at My Virtual Model, Microcell (Fido), Saks Fifth Avenue, and Avon Products. He is a frequent speaker at international marketing and technology forums and has received numerous awards for his advertising, product launch, and marketing strategies.

Christian Friedland, CEO, Build.com

Christian is the founder of Faucet Direct, Inc., which was renamed Build.com, Inc., in 2010 to better represent its long term strategy and growing product inventory. Prior to Build.com, Christian worked at Slakey Brothers, a leading west coast Plumbing and HVAC distributor. Christian received his B.A. in Political Science (Law) and completed core graduate studies in Computer Science at California State University, Chico. He has also lectured frequently on Entrepreneurship at the California State University, Chico's Business School, and helped found two other local e-commerce companies. Christian was a featured speaker at the 2008 Internet Retailer convention and the Wharton School of Business.

He has been involved in the e-commerce world since its infancy and has a deep background in multi channel retail, operations, systems implementation, and direct marketing.
