Kevin Hardy is a Senior Vice President at The Northern Trust Company and is the Managing Director of The Northern Trust Company of Hong Kong Limited and the Head of Northern Trust Global Investments (NTGI) for the Asia-Pacific, responsible for Northern Trust's asset management business in the region.
Kevin assumed his APAC responsibilities in 2008 and directs the implementation of NTGI business strategy in the region and runs the Northern Trust office in Hong Kong.
Kevin joined NTGI in 2003 and has held positions as the Head of the Global Transition Management business, based in Chicago and the Head of International New Business (EMEA and APAC), based in London. In both roles Kevin was instrumental in enhancing both product awareness and distribution strategy through revising internal processes and improving internal and external marketing and communications.
Kevin has worked in the industry since 1993 and has gained valuable investment management experience in transition management, risk, quantitative asset management and structured products. Pranay is Chairman of the Asia Pacific Investment Committee, and is a member of the Global Investment Leadership Team of IIM, which is responsible for the oversight of all investment activities across the world at ING. Prior to his appointment to Asia Pacific, Pranay was the Deputy CIO for ING Investment Management Europe, helping to oversee US$203bn of assets in Europe. Pranay joined ING in 2009 from the Pearl Group, U.K. where he was Deputy Chief Investment Officer and a Member of the Board from 2006-2009. At Pearl, Pranay was responsible for the overall framework for strategy and asset allocation and investment risk analytics for the $55bn portfolio, and also managed the $3bn Systematic Strategies Fund – a multi strategy hedge fund of funds.
From 2002 to 2006, Pranay was the Head of Global Quantitative Strategies at ABP Investments, Netherlands which is one of the largest plan sponsors in the world. Pranay was also a member of the Capital Markets Strategy Team guiding the investment of the $210 bn Capital Markets portfolio.
In his previous positions as Chief Investment Strategist for Asia for Societe Generale and Head of Quantitative Research for JP Morgan Chase Investment Management, New York, Pranay researched systematic investment processes, and managed investment teams in Asia, Japan, Europe and the US.

Before joining Lippo, Mr. Yip was most recently Head of ETFs for Asia Pacific at State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), where he directed the ETFs business in the region by developing and promoting the product.

Before that, he was Head of Global Structured Products for Asia ex-Japan at SSgA, responsible for heading a team of portfolio managers in managing and indexing structured products strategies and ETFs listed in Hong Kong and Singapore, including the Tracker of Hong Kong (TraHK). He has also acted as an advisor for SSgA sub-advised ETFs in China, Taiwan and Korea. Between 1999 and 2005, Mr. Yip was a key participant in the creation and development of a number of the first ETFs in the region, including the first ETFs in Hong Kong (iTraHK), Singapore, China, Taiwan and Korea.

He is a member of FTSE TWSE Taiwan Index Series Advisory Committee and a member of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange’s Index Experts Committee.

Mr. Yip holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Commerce and Finance from the University of Toronto. He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

He has 25 years in the investment markets and over 32 years of work experience. He is has lived in HK for 40 years, but has had spent many years on assignments in Europe and the US. He has considerable experience in Investment Management business-building in many countries.
He was previously Chief Executive of Port Shelter Investment Management, through which he was consulting to investing institutions, Fund Boards, expert witness panels, family offices and the HK Securities and Futures Commission; as well as assisting the multi-asset manager, Grace Financial, as Founding Managing Partner.
Mr. Harris was Director of Citigroup Private Bank specialising in Asia Region asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction (2004-8). He established Enterprise Private Capital in London in 2000, which launched an early-stage private equity fund that was subsequently sold to a competitor. From 1997, he was Director of Newton Investment Management (now BNY Mellon Group) in London where he chaired the divisional Global Investment Committee for private clients.
Richard was CEO of Jardine Fleming’s Private Bank in Hong Kong (now within J.P. Morgan) prior to which he managed JF active, research-based institutional pension, derivative and mutual funds worth over US$1 billion (from 1990 onwards). He began his investment career on the sell-side in 1986 with the stockbroker, Enskilda Securities, and established them in Hong Kong in 1988, serving on the Skandinaviska Enskilda Bank (HK) Management Committee.
He began his career in 1978 as a Chartered Engineer in Hong Kong and was awarded the Institution of Civil Engineer’s prize for the best young engineer of 1982. Richard Harris holds a First Class Honours degree from the London School of Economics / King’s College and a Masters' degree in Engineering Geology from Imperial College, London University.
He also holds a MBA from Harvard Business School; a certificate in Chinese from Peking University; and took Strategic Leadership at Stanford Business School. He has been registered by the authorities to provide investment advice and management in both the UK and HK.
Richard Harris was raised in Asia and Southern Africa, and has lived in China (Beijing), Europe and the US.
