ETF’s Asia took place in Hong Kong on the 27th of September. Featuring an overall attendance of 200 delegates, ETFs Asia provided delegates with an in-depth and insightful guide to the state of the ETFs market in Asia.
The highlight of the day was without doubt the keynote address by Christina Choi, Director of Investment Products for the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. During a fascinating address Christina gave the audience an insightful guide to the latest regulatory ETF developments in Hong Kong.
The morning session closed out with another real highlight, the Keynote CIO panel featuring the CIOs of Lippo Investments Management, India First Life Insurance Company and RBC Investment Management. The topic of the session was finding the right balance between passively and actively managed funds to maximize your investment return and was without doubt the most keenly followed discussion of the day.
ETF’s Asia closed out with a series of roundtables chaired by amongst others Stuart Leckie of Stirling Finance who shared his views on the impact of regulatory changes on QDII and QFII in China.
After a closing cocktail ETFs Asia drew to a close, once again the event was a great success and a real benchmark of the Asian ETF industry
