I have been with Merrill Lynch for 23 years, with all that time in the product data area. The group has evolved from at first supplying government bond data to the trading area to supplying all product data throughout the entire firm. I have been responsible for among other recent projects, instituting an automated version of the firm's restricted list, the firm's municipal RTTM process, and the centralization of the firm's structured mortgage process. My main focus among those other efforts is managing the process of assigning internal company identifiers to all of the firm's unlinked inventory and collateral positions for risk management purposes and then maintaining that information from an issuer to issue standpoint. It also stores the data on a parent-child hierarchical perspective. |
