To reach The Royal Horseguards, London by road…
From Parliament Square, head towards Big Ben (this will be on your right). Take the first left after Westminster Underground station onto the Victoria Embankment, with the River Thames and London Eye on your right. At the second set of traffic lights, take the left fork into Northumberland Avenue, then second left into Great Scotland Yard.
Turn left into Scotland Place, then left again into Whitehall Place, before turning right into Whitehall Court. The nearest car parking is in Spring Gardens. For online direction-finding, or to programme your sat-nav, please use the postcode SW1A 2BN
For guests arriving in London by rail…
Mainline rail: London Charing Cross station is less than five minutes walk away and Waterloo just a 10 minute walk away.
London Underground: Embankment Tube station, which is on the Circle, District, Bakerloo and Northern lines, is directly opposite the hotel. There is also a Tube station at Charing Cross.
To reach The Royal Horseguards from the airport…
If you’re flying into London City Airport, take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Tower Gateway, then the Circle or District line (westbound) to Embankment.
From London Heathrow, we recommend the Heathrow Express: this runs direct from the airport to London Paddington in just 15 minutes (20 from Terminal 5) and there’s a train every quarter of an hour. Form Paddington, you can take the Bakerloo line straight to Embankment Tube station, which is opposite The Royal Horseguards.
The Gatwick Express runs a similar service into Victoria. From either terminus, you can take the Underground to Embankment station,
