How Miriam Cohen Ensures the NRC’s 4,000 Employees Stay Happy
Among various ongoing efforts at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), strides are being made to explore new applications for nuclear plants; a respectable and timely endeavor. The organization’s 4,000 workers must be engaged and happy to ensure that positive, measurable progress is made toward this important goal. It’s no coincidence that the NRC prides itself on having a positive, measureable effect on employees, upholding a high level of engagement and satisfaction. The most important way to do that, says Miriam Cohen, Chief Human Capital Officer at the NRC, is to make sure to act on the results of engagement studies. The biggest mistake, she says, is when an organization claims to listen to and value the voice of its employees, but does nothing to right its wrongs.

In this podcast, hear Miriam give tips toward measuring employee engagement and then using the results of those studies to craft strategic action plans.
