Singapore Chemical Industry Council Limited (SCIC)

The Singapore Chemical Industry Council Limited (SCIC) is the official industry association representing companies from the chemical industry in Singapore.Its membership comprises key MNCs, SMEs, logistics and services providers as well as traders.

SCIC was officially formed under the umbrella of Singapore Manufacturers Association (SMa) on 8th May 1979 by a group of 17 manufacturers. It was incorporated as an independent entity on 28 June 2007 and today represents more than 150 companies.

SCIC is also the national administrator of the Responsible Care initiative, endorsed by the International Council of Chemical Associations, to promote the spirit, principles and practices of Responsible Care to the Singapore Chemical Industry.

Through advocating Responsible Care, the chemical industry in Singapore can make a valuable contribution towards sustainable development.

Hong Kong Logistics Association

Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA), founded in 1996 as the first non-profit making professional institute on logistics in Hong Kong, is one of the leading pioneers in promoting logistics and supply chain management in Hong Kong. Our members include logistics services providers, trading firms, manufacturers, scholars as well as logistics professionals involved in such key activities as warehousing, freight transportation, physical distribution, procurement, materials management and customer services.

    

SIPMM

The Singapore Institute of Purchasing & Materials Management (SIPMM) was established in March 1972 as an independent, not-for-profit professional body representing and promoting the professional development of purchasing, materials, logistics and supply management. The Institute offers two competency awards and organises a variety of development programmes and courses on purchasing, materials, logistics and supply management. The Institute also publishes the authoritative Singapore Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), which has been a key barometer of the Singapore manufacturing industry.

The Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society

The Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society is the regional professional body for Logistics practitioners.

Practically all areas of the Logistics spectrum are represented in the Society. Shippers, Freight Forwarders, Academics, Students, Carriers, Personal Effects Movers and other individuals and organisations form our core. With an emphasis on commercial experience and expertise we are the lead platform for the development of Logistics in the region and work with our members, government, organisations and professionals in raising the profile and expertise through a range of activities.

The Society was formed by Logistics professionals with the following objectives :-

reinforces Singapore as a regional Logistics and trans-shipment hub; and

Vietnam Supply Chain Community is a leading independent and truly not‐for‐profit platform for over 9,000 supply chain professionals in Vietnam to learn, share, and network effectively.
