Despite global travel restrictions following the volcanic ash, LogiChem 2010 took place in Düsseldorf from 20th – 22nd April 2010 and was the most successful conference in its nine year history. We would like to thank everyone who attended, supported, sponsored and contributed to the conference. LogiChem has firmly established itself at the centre of the international chemical supply chain community. This year’s conference proved that it was more important than ever for international chemical logistics and supply chain directors to come together, learn from each other and develop long-term strategies to overcome the current challenges faced by the market. This year’s theme was on how to maximise supply chain efficiency and effectiveness while preparing supply chains for economic improvement. Over three content-packed days, over 40 supply chain directors from the world’s largest chemical companies delivered high-level case-studies on how they are driving supply chain performance. Companies featured on this year’s conference programme included BASF, Dow, DuPont, Celanese, Akzo Nobel, DSM and Clariant. Attendance was from over 250 supply chain directors from all of the top 75 chemical companies.
