Karen Alber is Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the H. J. Heinz Company. Karen joined Heinz in October 2005. She leads information solutions and services worldwide for Heinz. Karen is also leading the process transformation efforts for Heinz to drive improved capabilities in people, process and systems throughout Heinz. Karen has 21 years of experience in the industry most recently with PepsiCo prior to Heinz. Karen led the readiness and training efforts for PepsiCo’s enterprise systems transformation effort. Prior to this role, Karen led the Integration Management Office for Business Process Transformation during the merger with Quaker. Karen started her career with Quaker Oats in 1986 at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, plant and held various roles in supply chain from production supervision to Supply Chain Director.


 

  J.P. Brackman
Global Retail Presence Manager

J.P. Brackman has been with Procter & Gamble (P&G) for more than 28 years, 20 of those years working on shelf management and retail operations. He also has nine years of sales experience. J.P. was first involved in the Coca Cola/Andersen OOS study in 1996 and has been working on OOS ever since. He has led several P&G projects on OOS and is currently working on the EPC OOS project. In addition, he is leading efforts on improving retail presence of P&G brands globally.


 

Scott Craig
Director of Supply Chain Services
Hannaford Brothers Company

Scott Craig is Director of Supply Chain Services at Hannaford Brothers Company. He has 15 years of consumer packaged goods experience in a variety of roles, including six years at Hannaford Brothers, where he has been engaged in logistics and supply chain services. In his current role he is responsible for strategic and tactical management of productivity, replenishment, safety, facilities and operations. Scott is currently the business lead on Hannaford's RFID project, computer-assisted ordering, and the development of Delhaize America's Mixing Center strategy.


 

Jerry Darby
Senior Vice President, Operations

Jerry Darby has spent 33 years in the health and beauty aids industry with companies including Avon Products, Beecham Cosmetics (Jovan Division), Del Laboratories and, for the last 20 years, with Combe Incorporated. For those who are unfamiliar with Combe, they are the manufacturers and distributors of such products as Just for Men, Grecian Formula, Odor Eaters, Aqua- Velva, Williams L’ectric Shave and Cepacol cough and cold products. During his career, Jerry assumed roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of quality assurance, production management and materials management, culminating in his current position as Senior Vice President, Operations. He also serves on the Logistics Committee for the Consumer Health Products Association. In addition to his operational responsibilities, Jerry has overall responsibility for Combe’s corporate and product sustainability initiatives.


 

Nick Delany

Nick Delany’s sales experience includes the establishment and management of distribution networks International business experience (US, Europe, Asia and Africa) in sales and business management. He is currently directing the sales, supply chain management, logistics, business integration and IT operations in the US. Nick’s management experience includes supply chain and operations management, sales, sales training, administration, process improvement, accounting and personnel management skills. He is experienced in designing and implementing supply chain processes, business plans, business processes, marketing strategy, preparing and establishing new business strategies within Balanced Scorecard.


 

Sam Diaz

Sam Diaz is Vice President of Logistics for the Foodservice business of Sara Lee Corporation. Sam joined Sara Lee in September 1996 and served as a manufacturing plant manager and distribution center manager prior to taking on his current role. Before joining Sara Lee, he worked for Circuit City and Aaron Rents. Sam leads the Foodservice Logistics group, including the transportation, customer service, warehousing, fleet and product management for all ambient Foodservice products. Additionally, Sam is leading his team through a LEAN transformation to cultivate a continuous improvement mindset. Sam has 17 years’ industry experience and is a graduate of the University of Houston.


 

Ann Dozier
Vice President, Strategic Industry Initiatives
The Coca-Cola Company

Ann Dozier is responsible for strategic industry initiatives at The Coca-Cola Company. Ann and her team are focused on developing strategic, collaborative customer solutions leveraging global industry standard processes. She works closely with the Coca-Cola global and national sales teams and Coca-Cola’s bottling partners to ensure they are developing supply chain and eCommerce capabilities that reduce costs through efficiency and effectiveness. She is also instrumental in driving industry solutions to support the direct-store-delivery business model. Ann has been involved with eBusiness and supply chain re-engineering for the past 16 years.


 

Anthony Furst
Director, Office of Freight Management and Operations
Department of Transportation

As Director, Office of Freight Management and Operations for the Department of Transportation, Tony directs a multi-level staff developing freight policy for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Anthony and his team also provide data analysis and decision-support tools for transportation professionals evaluating freight projects, as well as developing and promoting professional capacity building programs and training for freight professionals. In addition, he provides truck size and weight program guidance and interpretation and evaluates and promotes freight technology development for national and international deployment.


 

Razat Gaurav
Vice President and General Manager, Global Logistics Business Unit
i2 Technologies

Razat Gaurav is Vice President and General Manager of i2’s Global Logistics Solutions Business Unit. In this general management role, he is responsible for overall planning and strategy for i2’s network modeling, transportation and inventory solutions; revenue; business unit profitability; consulting and implementation services; solution direction; and overall customer satisfaction. During his tenure at i2, Razat has served in various roles including product management, strategic consulting, sales and marketing. He has been with i2 Technologies for over eight years, has worked very closely with several retailers, third-party logistics companies, consumer product companies, and hi-tech manufacturers in North America, Europe, and Asia to provide strategic advisory services in helping them improve their supply chain and logistics performance.


 

Dr. Jonathan Golovin

Dr. Jonathan (Jon) Golovin is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Retail Solutions. Previously, Jon was the founder and Chairman of Consilium Inc., the largest independent Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) company (now Applied Materials). Jon is considered the father of MES and was awarded the 2000 SEMI Award for his contributions. Consilium’s list of customers included the majority of the large semiconductor companies such as Intel, Hitachi, AMD, Hyundai, just to name a few, as well as many of the largest pharmaceutical companies such as Abbott Laboratories. Jon is also the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Vigilance, the leading event management system.


 

Aaron Graham
Chief Security Officer
Purdue Pharma

Aaron Graham is the Vice President and Chief Security Officer for Purdue Pharma L.P. and its associated companies. Aaron has global responsibility for developing and implementing policies, procedures and programs to protect Purdue’s personnel, facilities, products, supply chain and intellectual property. Aaron is the key senior executive responsible for the launch of Purdue’s successful RFID item-level track and trace pilot program, as well as incremental product security measures including sophisticated covert and overt packaging solutions. He also implemented a covert, state-of-the-art GPS/GSM product tracking protocol. In 2003, Aaron innovated and implemented the first and only national information clearing house for pharmacy theft data, www.rxpatrol.org. Before joining Purdue, Aaron was the Director of Corporate Security for Pfizer Inc. At Pfizer he had global responsibility for protecting the company’s intellectual property, a role that included oversight of product integrity investigations involving counterfeiting, tampering and diversion of Pfizer products.


 

Rick Gylling

Recently retired from Kraft, where he was Vice President of Supply Chain Sustainability, Rick was involved in a significant companywide transformation as the company solidified its commitment to sustainability.


 

Rich Hubli

Rich Hubli is Vice President, Operations Strategy Development for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages (CSAB), working on development of long-term, end-to-end operations strategy to identify how and where to produce/source, deploy, store and deliver CSAB’s product portfolio to market at lowest total delivered cost. Previously, Rich was Vice President Supply Chain Planning for CSAB, with responsibility in the US, Canada and Mexico for production planning, managing the sales and operations planning process, maintaining the “produce-to-plan” master data, and providing accurate performance metrics for the supply chain. Prior to joining CSAB, Rich held senior management roles at Mott’s and Colgate-Palmolive.


 

Jill Kauffman Johnson

Jill Kauffman Johnson is the Executive Director of Chemical Strategies Partnership and has extensive experience working with large manufacturers in redesigning their chemical supply chains. More recently, she has been working with companies to green their entire operations including energy, waste, water, and chemical use to identify opportunities to reduce greenhouse gases and environmental impact.

Evon L. Jones is Bausch & Lomb Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer, responsible for the company’s information technology services. Evon joined Bausch & Lomb in January 2005 from The Dial Corporation where he was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at America West Holdings Corporation, and before that, Vice President and Technology Leader at American Express. He also held management posts in global derivative technologies at Salomon Brothers, Inc., and Lehman Brothers, Inc. Evon is a member of the AC Nielsen CIO Advisory Board, was a member of the Hewlett Packard/Compaq Western Region Customer Advisory Council, and participates in the Baruch Executive-on-Campus program. In 2004, he was named one of the Top 100 IT leaders by Computer World.

Corwin (Cor) Karaffa has been the Vice President of Supply Chain for Authentic Specialty Foods, Inc. (ASF), since January 2004. ASF manufactures and distributes the La Victoria stable of Mexican sauces and salsas, along with Embasa Peppers. The La Vic label has existed since 1917 and the Embasa labels since 1952. Prior to joining ASF, previous roles include Chief Executive Officer of Sun Valley Fruit company, a food service and produce distributor in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Division President of Corporate Express, a Buhrmann Company, and Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for internet grocery company HomeGrocer.com.


 

Matt Kistler

Matt has been in a leadership position for Wal-Mart’s sustainability initiatives since 2005, serving as Captain of the Packaging Sustainable Value Network and driving sustainable product innovation and new business development initiatives. As Senior Vice President of Sustainability, Matt leads the office responsible for Wal-Mart’s environmental sustainability strategy worldwide. This includes integrating sustainability into business unit strategy and encouraging the company's 1.8 million associates to participate personally and incorporate sustainability into their programs. Matt joined Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in November of 2003.


 

Mike LaCroix

Mike LaCroix is the Director of Process and Supply Chain Efficiency for Food Lion LLC. In his current role Mike is responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives at Food Lion where the improvements allow for resources to be used to fund new growth initiatives. He also oversees the supply chain group which is involved in leading collaborative improvements among its top vendors. Before taking on this role Mike was the Director of Logistics for Food Lion, LLC and was responsible for coordinating freight into all of the distribution centers as well as contributing to the development of the company’s redistribution strategy.


 

Philippe Lambotte

Philippe Lambotte is Senior Vice President Customer Service and Logistics for Kraft Foods. He has responsibility for Kraft’s supply chain from its plants through to its customers in North America. Philippe also oversees customer supply chain strategy and tools globally for Kraft Foods Inc. Originally from Belgium, Philippe has held various positions with Kraft Foods of increasing responsibility across the supply chain in the US and Europe. He has lived in five countries during his 20 years of professional life. Previously with Procter & Gamble Europe, he holds a Master's Degree from the University of Southern California in Electrical Engineering. He is the Kraft Foods representative on the GS1 standard organization global board.

In her 31 years working in the food industry, Denise Layfield has a consistent record of proven results in managing all aspects of the supply chain. During her career, Layfield participated in a variety of special projects and recently managed the implementation of a major SAP installation. Her current responsibilities include managing the Sales and Operations Planning Process and four distribution centers with the goal of meeting customer service, inventory, and cost of goods objectives.

 


 

John Ling

John Ling is Vice President, Supply Chain Management and Logistics, for Crate & Barrel, a national retailer of fashion-oriented home furnishings. John’s responsibilities span the entire retail supply chain from sourcing through store replenishment and customer fulfillment. Departments managed include: corporate purchasing, sourcing management, vendor operations, quality assurance, inventory management, importing and customs compliance, international and domestic transportation, distribution operations, industrial engineering, customer fulfillment and call center operations. Prior to his 12 years at Crate and Barrel, John was with Frito-Lay, Inc. for 10 years with roles in management, engineering, distribution, transportation and manufacturing and also spent four years with Merck-Medco Managed Care in general management and engineering roles.

Richard Lower has over a decade of supply chain management and logistics software experience, specifically related to cutting-edge technologies. He has a broad background in client/server, ASP, and data warehouse technologies for software systems related to supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, order management, and global visibility. He is currently responsible for creating supply chain solutions utilizing the latest in data acquisition and software applications to serve markets in manufacturing, retail, travel and transportation.


 

Ellen Martin

Ellen has been in the apparel business for over 30 years. She worked for seven years in various business units within Wrangler before transferring to Information Systems. She continued on with VF when Wrangler was purchased in 1986. Today she is Vice President of Business Systems for VF Corporation, which is the largest apparel company in the world. She is in charge of new projects and development for all supply chains systems for VF. She is specifically in charge of SAP SD, MM, PP, i2, SCP, i2 DF, NGC E-SPS, Logility, TXT and warehouse management systems. These systems cover order-to-cash, forecasting, planning, procurement of both raw and finished material, shipping both from a VF distribution center or direct-to-customer.


 

Mary Lou McCleese

Mary Lou McCleese is Regional Director of Customer Logistics with Johnson and Johnson (J&J) in their Consumer Products Division. She has 12 years’ experience in distribution, planning and logistics with the last eight years focused on customer logistics strategy and execution in both U.S. and international markets. Mary Lou has worked on key J&J initiatives like CPFR, data synchronization and RFID. Prior to J&J, she worked for a division of American Airlines in sales, revenue management and distribution.


 

Rosanne Megrath

Rosanne Megrath has served as Director of Customer Logistics for the QTG chilled supply chain since July 1996. In addition to her current role, Rosanne was a key member of the team leading the Quaker-Tropicana order-to-cash integration in 2001 and has served as a change agent for two releases of SAP. Most recently, Rosanne was Tropicana’s key order-to-cash leader for the company’s integration of the Naked Juice Company. The first 21 years of Rosanne’s career were in sales. Previously she held various positions at Tropicana, including Director of Convenience Outlets, Central Division and Director of Military Sales. Rosanne joined Tropicana in 1975.


 

Jeff Modica

Schwan Food Company

Jeffrey Modica is Vice President of Supply Chain for Schwan's Global Home Service, Inc. a division of The Schwan Food Company. Jeff joined Schwan's in March 2006 and is responsible for all strategic sourcing, procurement, demand planning and replenishment. He is currently leading a company wide cross-functional inventory optimization project in an effort to improve inventory visibility, increase customer service levels and optimize working capital usage. Jeff has 19 years’ experience in the food industry, most recently with Hickory Farms, Inc. as Vice President of Procurement, Product Development and Quality Management Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant and started his career with Deloitte and Touche. Jeff is a graduate of Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska.


 

Tony Quartararo

Tony Quartararo is Executive Vice President Supply Chain at Burt’s Bees. Tony joined Burt’s in January 2006 and leads the quality, planning, purchasing, warehousing, production, freight, distribution and sustainable engineering teams for the worldwide supply of Burt’s Bees products. Tony has 40 years of experience in research, development and industry, including 14 years at L’Oreal. Tony is part of the executive team that transformed Burt’s Bees to a leader in natural personal care products and he is now working with the Clorox team to optimize the Burt’s Bees and Clorox merger.


 

Tony Zasimovich
Vice President, International Services
APL Logistics

With more than 20 years of international transportation experience, Tony Zasimovich has extensive knowledge of international logistics and supply chain management, consolidation and deconsolidation operations, customer service and sales management. He currently oversees all international products and services, including origin consolidation, deconsolidation, ocean forwarding, air forwarding and customs-house brokerage for APL Logistics in the Americas.

Previously, Mr. Zasimovich served as Managing Director, North Asia, based in Hong Kong. There, he was accountable for the management and operations of APL Logistics in eight countries. His responsibilities included executing the company’s strategy for China, which included a massive infrastructure build-up. The initiative included securing necessary licensing agreements, registering APL Logistics in China, expanding branch offices, and converting the operation from an agency program to a network of direct offices.

In the United States, Mr. Zasimovich has also been responsible for the retail and apparel markets for APL Logistics and has overseen sales, marketing and customer service for the company’s consolidation services. Mr. Zasimovich graduated cum laude with a B.A. degree from the University of Connecticut in 1975.


 

Jason Reiman

Jason Reiman is Senior Director, Sales and Operations Planning of The Hershey Company. In this role, Jason leads the global planning activities from a customer level back through production planning. Jason is also responsible for implementing an enterprise S&OP (sales and operations planning) process. Prior to this role, Jason has held positions as Director, Customer Service and Planning and Director, Demand Planning at Hershey. Before joining Hershey in 1996, Jason was a Supply Chain Consultant for Manugistics, Inc. Jason earned his degree in Logistics from Penn State University.


 

Tim Riordan

Tim Riordan serves as Vice President, Supply Chain for Interface, Inc. Interface is a leading manufacturer of modular carpet with over $1 billion in annual sales in over 110 countries and manufacturing facilities on four continents. Tim is responsible for leading Interface's global supply chain improvement initiatives focused on: (1) improving overall working capital performance, (2) reducing total costs, and (3) advancing sustainability within the supply base. Tim is also responsible for leading Interface's Resource Efficient Transportation Team, which includes developing policies, setting performance measures, and leading global initiatives focused on reducing Interface's footprint on the environment resulting from its movement of people and product. In addition, Tim is responsible for managing Interface's real estate portfolio.


 

Gregg Schweir

Gregg Schweir has been with Whirlpool since 1990 and has served the company in a variety of capacities including engineering, operations planning, product development, sales and marketing. After leading Whirlpool’s supply chain strategy team, Gregg is currently responsible for the company’s transportation and warehousing operations.


 

Yalmaz Siddiqui
Environmental Strategy Advisor
Office Depot

Yalmaz Siddiqui, is Office Depot’s Environmental Strategy Advisor. He is responsible for advising on development and integration of environmental programs under the company’s vision to “increasingly buy green, be green and sell green”. Yalmaz came to Office Depot in April 2006 from IBM Consulting where he was a Senior Consultant and author of the first global study on environmental procurement of wood and paper products. Before he joined IBM, he was a management consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he focused on the forest, paper and packaging industries.


 

David P. Sievers

David Sievers is a Principal of Archstone Consulting and serves as the firm’s Global Consumer Practice Leader. With more than 15 years’ consulting experience, David specializes in defining business improvement strategies and implementing operational improvement programs, and has partnered with consumer packaged goods, retail, and general manufacturing companies throughout North America and Europe. David has authored a number of articles for publication, including: "A Message to Consumer Packaged Goods Companies: Refocus on Profitable Growth;" "The Peanut Butter Syndrome: Supply Chain as a Sticking Point;” and most recently, “Finance’s Key Role in New Product Development,” an article that appeared on the cover of the October 2007 Financial Executive magazine.


 

Roger Sklar

Roger Sklar is Director of Inbound Supply Chain Operations for NIKE, Inc., the largest seller of athletic footwear and athletic apparel in the world. The companies of NIKE Inc (including NIKE, Converse, Cole-Haan, NIKE Bauer and Hurley) generate over $15 billion in annual revenue. At NIKE, Roger is responsible for managing the all components of the supply chain into the United States, including management of the company’s ocean, air and consolidation vendors, US Customs and compliance processes, customer delivery operations and associated systems and data integrity activities. Roger has over 20 years of international transportation and logistics experience in both North America and in Asia. He began his career in 1986 with APL, with successive sales and sales management postings in Seattle, Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles. His seven years of overseas experience began in 1993 when he was promoted to manage APL's operating company in Bangladesh, followed by five years directing the company's business activities in Malaysia. Roger's shift to the shipper's side began in Atlanta with one of the US's largest exporters, Eastman Chemical, responsible for management of all international logistics services.


 

Joel Sutherland
Managing Director - Center for Value Chain Research
Lehigh University

Joel Sutherland is Managing Director at Lehigh University’s Center for Value Chain Research. Joel has over 30 years of experience as a logistics/supply chain professional working for manufacturers, wholesale distributors, and third-party logistics service providers in various industries. Joel has worked and lived abroad, starting and managing a pan-European 3PL based in Germany for Sealand Services (now part of Maersk). In the late ‘90s, while at J.B. Hunt Transport Services, he was instrumental in developing and executing a vision for creating a technology-based transportation 3PL, Transplace, managing more than $2 billion in freight. Most recently, Joel was President and Chief Operating Officer of Air-Road Express, providing international logistics services. He is a past Board Chair of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and recently chaired the Collaborative Transportation Management (CTM) committee for the Voluntary Inter-industry Commerce Solutions association, where he created the accepted template for this emerging practice.


 

Marianne Timmons

Kenneth Wensel joined BDP International in 1980. During his 27-year career with the company, he has held positions in a number of operations and sales areas, and in 1994 was named Vice President of the company's sales department. In 1996 he assumed additional responsibility for BDP’s marketing and corporate communications function. As BDP moved into a global environment, so did Ken with his latest role of Chief Sales Officer. In this position, Ken is responsible for all sales and marketing related activities throughout all of the BDP International global organization.


 

Robert Willett

Robert A. Willett is the chief executive officer of Best Buy International, the strategic business unit of Best Buy Co., Inc., focused on creating opportunities for growth and innovation outside of the United States. He was appointed to this role in 2006. Under Bob’s leadership, Best Buy International will implement a global integration and growth strategy to maximize the retailer’s opportunities beyond North America, while continuing to reengineer the supply chain and information technology functions that support the company’s customer-centric transformation.


 

Laura Wittman

Laura Wittman is Vice President, Corporate Compliance and Human Rights for Jones Apparel Group, Inc. With Jones since 1995, Laura has led the factory monitoring department since its inception in 1996. Prior to the Corporate Compliance department, Laura was the Internal Audit Manager. Laura joined Jones from KPMG Peat Marwick, an accounting and consulting firm and was a practicing C.P.A. licensed in the State of Virginia.

Guy Yehiav brings strong leadership and innovative thinking to this management role where he is responsible for sales and strategy of Demantra Solutions. Prior to this role, Guy founded Demantra and over the last ten years he has held multiple executive positions where he guided the Product Management and Strategy organization, and developed the roadmap for Demantra's Marketing and Promotion Planning Solution. He also directed the Global Professional Services group, where he recruited the internal team, managed many complex supply chain projects, created methodologies and infrastructures and helped to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction. Guy played an instrumental role in establishing Demantra's headquarters in the U.S. and helped grow Demantra into its present position as a market leader in the enterprise planning space.

Susan Zayas is Director of Supply Chain Innovation at Jack in the Box Inc (JIB). She leads process, structure and technology transformations within JIB's supply chain. This includes such things as redesigning supply chain support for new product introductions, supplier collaboration, and supply chain optimization. She has 18 years of experience in various areas of supply chain management leading process engineering, inventory management, logistics analysis, inbound transportation, demand planning and forecasting functions. Prior to working in the field of supply chain, she held positions in marketing analysis, marketing research and economic analysis.
