Harris Healthcare Solutions has established itself as a leading and trusted provider of information technology solutions to our federal and commercial healthcare customers and partners. For decades, Harris Corporation has been trusted by our Defense, Intelligence, and Civilian customers to deliver large-scale, secure systems that turn data into information. Over the last two-years, Harris has proved successful at transferring the technical innovation, disciplined engineering, and passionate dedication to execution that has helped solve the hardest problems in other mission critical domains to the federal healthcare domain. Specifically, Harris Healthcare Solutions has applied our deep capabilities, rich experience, and enabling technologies for Information Management (documents, records, data, and images) to help integrate disparate health data into critically useful information at the point of care.

Harris participation on the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN) CONNECT, as the lead systems developer and integrator for the Office of the National Coordinator’s (ONC) Federal Health Architecture (FHA), is an excellent example of Harris ability to leverage our heritage in order to help our customers securely integrate and manage structured electronic health information. Our CONNECT experience is especially relevant to the SSA’s interest in discovering means to “obtain and manage structured EMR data”, as SSA was the first federal agency to enter production leveraging the Harris developed CONNECT solution. The CONNECT solution will continue to be a primary means of securely obtaining pertinent health information for making disability assessments. Harris Healthcare has also partnered with the Military Health System to solve their need for federated image access and management across their global footprint. Through the Health Artifact and Image Management Solution (HAIMS) program, recently awarded to Harris, we will deliver a system that provides seamless access to both diagnostic medical images and referential (scanned) images, and enables the integration of this information into a complete Electronic Health Record. The Military has trusted Harris to provide this solution because of our expertise and experience providing similar systems in other customer domains, securely and on a global scale
