  Eric Lucero

Eric Lucero, vice president of marketing strategies for Umpqua Bank, has been instrumental in shaping Umpqua’s industry-leading retail brand by developing and implementing the bank’s nationally acclaimed marketing promotions up and down the West Coast.

Lucero joined Umpqua’s creative strategies department in 2004, bringing more than five years of alternative bank marketing experience to the organization. In the short time Lucero has been with the bank, his promotions have effectively positioned the company to meet aggressive growth goals and expand from 91 stores with assets of $4.6 billion, to 147 stores with more than $8.3 billion in assets, today.

Non-traditional community-centered promotions have become a signature of Lucero’s career at Umpqua. In 2006, he successfully implemented the bank’s Discover Local Music Project, which identified and produced local musicians in the 96 markets the bank serves. Most recently, Lucero directed the roll-out of Umpqua’s famed Lemonaire campaign, which funded more than 2,100 child entrepreneurs’ first business endeavors: lemonade stands.

Lucero’s inventive promotions have earned the company extended praise from national publications, including: New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Brandweek, and US Banker.

Lucero was a featured speaker at the 2006 & 2007 American Bankers Association (ABA) Marketing Conference, 2006 & 2007 Source Media Financial Services Marketing Symposium, and the 2005 Western Independent Bankers Association (WIB) Marketing Conference. He currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for American Banker Association Bank Marketing conference.

Lucero graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors of Science in marketing and business administration in 2001.

Bayview Financial is a multinational, full-service mortgage finance company that provides a range of products and services, including small-balance commercial real estate lending, residential and commercial real estate loan acquisition and 1031 exchange facilitation.

Julian Chu is Chief Marketing Officer at CashNetUSA, a Cash America company. He is responsible for driving overall marketing effort of the company to deliver business growth. Prior to joining CashNetUSA, Julian was a Director of Internet Acquisition at Discover Financial Services. He was responsible for driving new customer account acquisitions via the internet channel, across the Discover Card product lines. He also served as Director of New Markets in developing new businesses in the area of stored value instruments including prepaid cards and gift cards.

Prior to joining Discover, Julian was a Lean Six Sigma Leader in the GE Healthcare IT business, responsible for driving product innovation and operations improvement initiatives in the area of distribution strategy, product pricing and product quality.

Before joining GE, Julian was a consultant for McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. He has served clients including financial institutions, technology and manufacturing companies, addressing issues ranging from operational improvement to marketing/sales, business innovation, and strategic growth.

Kevin leads the web and telephone banking sales and servicing channels for the $1.2 billion bank headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. He joined the company in 2006, after a 16-year career with Bank of America that took him from a branch management role to an SVP in eCommerce Technology. At BOA, he worked on various large technology projects including the Fleet Bank conversion. He also ran the Project Management team that developed many of the enhancements currently in Online Banking today, including eStatements, interbank and internal (P2P) transfers, and the authentication process known as SiteKey. He received his MBA from Loyola College in Maryland and a B.A. in Political Science from Washington College.


  Richard Becker

Richard Becker has a long history of working in both traditional and on-line marketing and advertising with an in-depth knowledge of brand management, customer acquisition and retention, loyalty programs and much more.  Richard is a strategic thinker and innovator who has a proven track record and the ability to create and produce programs that yield superior results.

He has an extensive background in consumer marketing, honed by years of experience with a variety of products and services, such as traditional brick and mortar companies like Red Lobster and Continental Airlines, technology leaders like Intuit (makers of Quicken and Turbo Tax software), pharma leaders like American Home Products and start up ventures. He has managed powerful global brands, launched new products and services and efficiently targeted elusive audiences.

Previously, Richard servces as Vice President of US Advertising at American Express, where he was entrusted with marketing that companies' consumer products, financial services, corporate services and business-to-business products. At Champion Mortgage, Becker directed the integrated communication of all mortgage product efforts, including planning a $40 Million broadcast, direct mail and internet advertising campaign and a targeted promotional plan.

Most recently, Richard managed e-Commerce for the Citi Home Lending line of business, which ranked #4 last year for originations among Top Residential 2nd Lien Lenders. He also re-launched Mortgage.com in October, as a stand alone mortgage portal with unique content, tools and calculators.
 
Richard has also been a featured panelist at 2008 Ad tech SF and the recent JFAM summit.

  Riaz Latifullah

Riaz’s current role involves developing a strategy and product offering to help those under the age of 50 to be better prepared for life after 50. His prior roles with AARP Services include serving on its executive management team, providing strategic consultative support, and developing new products, services, partnerships and alliances that build AARP’s membership value and support positive social change. His roles at AARP Services include CFO, interim Chief Administrative Officer, and serving on the Board of Directors of Focalyst (a joint-venture market research firm) and the AARP Global Network. Riaz’s diverse mix of for-profit and not-for-profit business management and leadership experiences include government relations, investment banking, growing new ventures, and ship design.

Mr. Latifullah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, a Master of Science degree in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Prior to joining Patelco, Alison worked as direct marketing strategy leader for GE Financial Assurance, and as Director of Savings Acquisition at World Savings and Loan in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Matthew Wilcox is Vice President of the Corporate Marketing and Communications department for Zions Bank. He started with Zions Bank in 1999 and his responsibilities include: interactive marketing and new product innovation, target marketing, mobile marketing, and retail and corporate marketing support.

Wilcox is a member of the Utah Advertising Federation, Internet Banking Community Advisory Board, and the E-mail Exchange council.

Wilcox is also active in community affairs. He is a founding member of the United Way of Salt Lake Young Leader’s Board, Junior Achievement of Utah Bowl-A-Thon chair, National Arthritis Walk committee member, and marketing chair for the Salt Lake City Greek Festival.

Wilcox graduated from Westminster College with a BS in Business Marketing and is currently attending the Executive MBA program at the University of Utah. He resides in Salt Lake City with his wife.

Robert Weaver is the Head of IT Security & Privacy Officer for ING DIRECT, responsible for information and physical security, as well as privacy for all of ING DIRECT operations in the USA. Rob has been with ING DIRECT for seven years.

Prior to joining ING DIRECT, Rob provided IT Security Management and business continuity planning for an on-line B2B portal, ICG Commerce, and before that in the pharmaceutical industry at AstraZeneca.

Rob has a BS in Computer Science from Lebanon Valley College, and an MBA from Penn State. Rob also holds CISSP and ISSMP certifications from ISC2. Rob and his family live in West Chester Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining RBC, Avi provided interim executive management services in sales, business operations, and acquisition strategy to technology companies in start-up and growth phases and previously held the position of EVP, Professional Services for a TSX-listed technology company. Avi is a graduate of the joint LLB-MBA program at York University's Osgoode Hall Law School and Schulich School of Business and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.


Paul Zeckser

Tim is a founding member of the CA/Browser Forum, which developed the guidelines for the Extended Validation SSL standard and is the world’s foremost spokesperson for this important new online security standard. Chris Jolley is a 13 year – veteran of Microsoft Corporation, having served in a number of business and marketing capacities. Currently, as the business leader for Microsoft’s Financial Products Group, he is responsible for defining and executing the marketing strategy for Microsoft’s consumer finance products, including MSN Money and Microsoft Money software. In this role, Jolley oversees the distribution, sales, public relations, and advertising of the products, as well as industry partnership efforts.

During Jolley’s tenure with the Financial Products Group, the MSN Money site has grown from 2 million visitors a month to 16 million and the Microsoft Money software has evolved to include unprecedented Web integration, marking a new era in automation for online financial activities.

He has been a speaker and moderator at numerous financial conferences, including American Banker’s EBPP and Account Aggregation conferences, Spring Internet World and NetFinance, and has become a recognized industry expert discussing trends and issues in the online finance space.

Jolley joined Microsoft in 1995. Prior to re-joining the financial products group, he focused on partnership marketing, distribution and fulfillment for the MSN Internet Access business, direct marketing for Microsoft’s consumer annuity programs and leading the merchandising teams for MSN Shopping and Windows Live.

Prior to joining ShoreBank, Spencer led a marketing team at Harris Bank in Chicago. Spencer started her career in banking with Citibank, N.A. Denise Henn has been a leader in the interactive space at PNC for over eight years. She joined PNC in 2000 as Product Manager for PFMs. Shortly thereafter, Denise helped to establish and launch email marketing for the organization. In 2005, Denise became the eMarketing team lead then jumped to Marketing Services to lead that team and educate the organization on the many opportunities of interactive marketing, not only to reach new audiences in new ways, but to also measure, test and research through the online channel. In 2006, Henn moved to eBusiness where she has been instrumental in launching paid and natural search for the enterprise; establishing a web analytics discipline; and leveraging learnings to achieve success through online marketing activities.

Prior to joining PNC, Henn served as a marketing consultant and spent 17 years as a healthcare foundation executive.

In her current role as a General Manager for Covario, Suzy and her high-performance team work to [increase the company’s market share] through providing cutting-edge solutions for the unique online marketing challenges that arise for today’s complex global advertisers leveraging multiple online channels.

Prior to joining Covario, Suzy served as the Vice President of Client Services for Fair Isaac. During her tenure at this world-class organization, she held a number of key positions wherein she drove multiple high-level acquisitions and integrations ranging from $15M to $600M, as well as realizing significant organic growth for the company. Suzy created and implemented strategic account support and development systems resulting in a 10% increase in overall sales revenue, with her sales teams consistently delivering customer satisfaction rates of over 98%.

Formerly, Suzy was promoted from Senior Partner Manager to Director of Client Services at HNC Software, where she successfully managed the company’s largest revenue-producing distribution channel. Suzy holds a B.S. from the University of Missouri.


Rowena Track

Rowena Track is currently Senior Vice President of Web & e-Business Strategy & Solutions at TIAA-CREF Financial Services. Rowena’s responsibilities include leadership of the digital strategy for TIAA-CREF. She provides vision, direction and leadership in the areas of e-Business, new channel development and marketing, Internet/Intranet applications, web look and feel, and web performance and tracking for TIAA-CREF’s target market including clients, employees, partners and suppliers.

Prior to joining TIAA-CREF, Rowena was Vice President of Global e-Business at the Global Strategic Marketing department of Bayer Pharmacuetical. She was responsible for identifying strategic opportunities in new and evolving channels to market and sell Bayer Pharma’s strategic products in key global markets. Rowena led the assessment of emerging technologies, new media and the internet and their strategic impact on Bayer’s traditional multi-channel strategy. Since joining Bayer in 1990, Rowena held several positions of increasing responsibilities in Clinical, Product Development, Information Technology and Global Strategic Marketing.

Prior to joining Bayer, Rowena worked at the Yale University School of Medicine and at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute on projects related to Human Gene Mapping.

Since the beginning of her career, Rowena has been a keynote speaker and a public presenter at various global and US industry events on business enablement and transformation through technology innovation. She presented at such events as the Financial Times Global Conferences as well as at the Economist. She has also chaired a number of such Industry events. Rowena was an invited speaker on the topic of Technology Innovation at the Yale University MBA program. She holds a B.S. in Physics and an MS in Computer Science.

Before joining Bazaarvoice, Brunner served as President and CEO of Nuvo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Trilogy and provider of managed network services, and she was previously COO for B-Side, a privately funded entertainment technology company. She has held various other executive management roles at leading technology companies, including Coremetrics, Trilogy, and Concero, where she led a team of 130 business and consulting professionals. She was also a practice director at Oracle, where she led the grounds-up development of the Central Texas enterprise sales and consulting practice, building an $18 million book of business in less than 18 months. She began her career at Accenture, where she ascended to Senior Manager in less than five years.

David has been a professional in the technology field for over a decade. Prior to joining McAfee, David spent several years working in financial institutions around the New York area. Most recently, David had the role of Principal Consultant at a security consulting company, managing the security process integration for a large financial institution handling transactions over one quadrillion dollars annually.

Brian Jurutka, Vice President, comScore, Inc. As a VP of Marketing Solutions at comScore Networks, Mr. Jurutka is responsible for helping clients better understand the online activity of US consumers to inform strategic marketing, product development and competitive intelligence efforts. Previously, Mr. Jurutka was with Capital One’s Direct Banking organization where he helped expand Capital One’s online marketing in addition to overseeing various strategic partnerships. Prior to Capital One Savings, Mr. Jurutka served in Capital One’s credit card group, managing multi-channel credit card acquisition and account management campaigns.
