09:25 High-Performance Digital Sensors for Low-light Level to Benefit the Tactical Operator in Day and Night Operations
Gert Nutzel, Chief Technology Officer, Photonis
PHOTONIS is developing a portfolio of digital sensors which started with commercialization of the 1.3 Mpixels Lynx CMOS sensor (low temporal noise figures < 4 e rms and extensive detection capabilities based on improved pixel dimensions of 9.7 x 9.7 µm²). Based on this technology, PHOTONIS has now developed an Electron Bombarded (EB) sensor. The EB sensor, making use of State of the Art photocathode technology, outperforms any CMOS sensors under stringent low light conditions, making both sensors very complementary for applications ranging from day mode to the deepest night level conditions. Attend this session to learn more about this breakthrough technology!
  • Learn about the break-through CMOS technology that will greatly improve operational situational awareness for your soldiers
  • Receive details about how the electron-bombarded CMOS is ideal for extreme low-light conditions and where it is most applicable
  • Understand more about the capabilities of the complete range of day-to-deepest night digital sensors available today and how these can benefit your soldiers in diverse mission environments
