Reinhardt Damm, born in 1964, joined Metzler in 2001. As Head of the Trading Desk and the Middle Office/Advisory Desk he is responsible for order execution, efficient order settlement and the ensuring of execution quality. Since October 2010 he is also responsible for the internal und external reporting. From 1992 to 2001, he served at Dresdner Bank Investment Group in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, in various positions. From 1994 to 2001, he was responsible for the whole product range of money market and tax optimized funds and from 1998 on he was co-head of the fund management trading desk. From 1991 to 1992, he completed the internal investment banking program at Dresdner Bank AG, Frankfurt/Main. Prior to that, he spent three years with Dresdner Bank AG in Düsseldorf, Germany, as a trader for public-sector bonds (from 1989 to 1991) and in the technical settlement of securities (from 1988 to 1989). In 1994, Mr. Damm graduated as Investment Analyst/DVFA (CEFA), and in 1992 as „Bankfachwirt“ from the Industry and Trade Chamber of Commerce.

Prof. Dr. Peter Gomber holds the Chair of e-Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Frankfurt since December 2004. He is Co-Chair and Member of the Board of the E-Finance Lab, a co-operation between the Universities of Frankfurt and Darmstadt and a network of industry partners from financial services. In the E-Finance Lab, he manages the research layer „Electronic Financial Markets and Market Infrastructures“. His academic work focuses on market microstructure and auction theory, institutional trading, innovative concepts/technologies for electronic trading and post trading systems and information systems in Finance. Before joining the University of Frankfurt, he worked as a Director, Head of Market Development Cash Market in the Trading & Clearing Services Division of Deutsche Börse AG, Frankfurt from 2000 to 2004, where he developed new products and market models for cash market trading on Xetra and managed several strategic and regulatory projects at Deutsche Börse AG. Since 2011, Prof. Dr. Gomber is a member of the Exchange Council of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE). Furthermore, he is a member of the Academic Committee of the Deutsches Aktieninstitut (DAI).

Michael Bellaro was recently names Head of Equity, Derivative and Passive FX Trading at Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM). In his role, he will be responsible for overseeing our primary investment hub in Frankfurt, Germany, that executes trades in global equity, derivatives, and passive foreign exchange for all business lines. Michael Bellaro began his securities career in the over the counter department of Paine Webber in the 1980’s, responsible for many of the department’s operational needs. In 1983 he was put in charge of the firm’s trade support area for the Options trading desk. In 1984, the firm asked him to be responsible for the building and creating of the firm’s international settlement area, to support their new international arbitrage trading operation. At the end of 1984, he was then hired to join the international arbitrage trading desk, where he successfully managed at $25 mln trading book. He also spent time in the firm’s London office with responsibility for conducting the market making responsibilities of the firm’s international positions at the initiation of SEAQ in 1987 and 1988. In 1988, he joined Scudder Stevens & Clark as a senior trader. He took charge of the International trading desk in 1992 and was named Managing Director in 1994 and named Partner (one of the youngest in firm history) in 1995. At Scudder he has been credited with building the first 24 hour centralized trading desk in the world, established in 1992. Was one of the first US buy-side trading desks to move to sector trading in January of 1999. He was a senior member of the International Trader Forum Advisory Board (1997-2002) and was directly involved in the creation and building of this venue which allowed international traders to discuss market trends, idea generation and address current industry trends. He is a former board member of the International Securities Traders Association of New York (STANY). He was a former member of the London Stock Exchange US Advisory Committee that was directly responsible for the London Stock Exchange moving to an electronic order book in 1997.

Sönke Steinert absolvierte sein Studium zum Diplom-Kaufmann an der TU Bergakademie Freiberg im Jahr 2006. Im gleichen Jahr begann Steinert seinen beruflichen Werdegang im Wertpapierhandel bei der equinet AG in Frankfurt am Main, wo er die Händlerprüfung ablegte. Seit Dezember 2007 verstärkt er das Equity Trading Desk der Quoniam Asset Management GmbH. Er betreut dort eigenverantwortlich den Handel globaler Aktien und Devisen. Dabei befasst er sich insbesondere mit der Auswahl und Umsetzung von Handelsstrategien, sowie Algorithmic Trading und den Handel über alternative Handelsplätze und Liquiditätsquellen. Darüber hinaus betreut er die konzeptionelle Weiterentwicklung der Order- und Execution-Management Systeme der Quoniam.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mr. Tierney was at Morgan Stanley for 16 years, starting in 1994 as an executive director and senior sales trader, elected in 1998 as a managing director and named head of North America cash sales trading in 2004. He became global head of equity trading for Morgan Stanley Investment Management in 2006 with responsibility for leading MSIM’s worldwide trading efforts. He started his Wall Street career as a trader at Paine Webber (1981-1986), served as a vice president at First Boston (1986-1991) and at UBS Warburg as a vice president and sales trader (1991-1994). Mr. Tierney received a bachelor's of arts degree from Villanova University. He is on the board of directors of the National Organization of Investment Professionals (NOIP) and serves as executive director of The Mike Foundation.
