Kevin Cronin is the Global Head of Equity Trading and is responsible for trading desks in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas. Kevin joined Invesco in 1997 as the Head of Listed Equity Trading for Invesco Aim and later became Director of Equity Trading. In January 2007 Invesco named Kevin the Global Head of Equity Trading. Before joining Invesco, Kevin was Director of Equity Trading for First Union Capital Management in Charlotte and served as the lead fund manager of the Evergreen Enhanced Equity Fund. Kevin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst certification. He is Chairman of the ICI’s Equity Markets Committee and serves as a member of the Georgia Securities Association, the Houston and Atlanta Societies of Financial Analysts and is the former Chairman of the NYSE Institutional Traders Advisory Committee. Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.

Saurabh has over 16 years of experience in working for leading Investment banks and hedge funds. He manages two business ventures - Ankam Partners and also Sankhyaa Research. Saurabh joined Indea Capital as a Principal in May 2008 from Deutsche Bank to launch the Ankam Fund - a new market neutral hedge fund with a focus on trading Equities Stat-Arb. The fund had a good run and was very profitable. Saurabh started his career in Tokyo with Banque Indosuez in 1992 on the equity index arbitrage desk and subsequently worked for Credit Suisse First Boston, Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank, (all based in Tokyo) in a number of trading and research roles. The quantitative models he designed were utilized to manage portfolios aggregating over USD 250 million. His career in hedge funds includes trading positions at Harborview Trading Associates, a NYC based stat-arb hedge fund, and at Manchester Trading Partners, Connecticut where he traded equity derivatives. He was part of the senior management team of Bdellium Asset Management, Tokyo and Singapore. His last assignment prior to running the Ankam Fund was with Deutsche Bank, Mumbai. His team built world class data-intensive analytics that rank very high on robustness, power and sophistication. He has written several articles and a book titled Magic Squares. He has delivered academic lectures at several universities and has taught Structured Finance as an adjunct faculty member at the Singapore Management University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (1991) and a Masters in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh (1997).

Quentin joined BNP Paribas Japan in 2007, where he oversaw the development of the Japanese electronic trading platform. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Quentin was with TradingScreen in Tokyo, as their Head of Sales for Asia Pacific as well as a partner of the firm.

Anshuman Jaswal is an analyst in Celent’s Securities and Investments group and is based in the Bangalore office. At UTI Bank, he worked with some of the leading companies in India, providing credit-related services. Besides Asset Management he founded a trading software development company in 1995. This firm has been providing technology evolving with the market from floor based solutions to co-located HFT setups. The last 10 years he was the CEO and partner of a proprietary market making trading firm active in the global financial markets. This company was sold in 2009. Besides the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he also lectures at the National Taiwan University in Taipei and the NTU-SGX in Singapore.

Steve is responsible for Fidessa’s strategic development. This includes the development of new geographic markets and strategic partnerships and driving new industry initiatives. As part of this Steve heads up the firm’s strategy in response to the new post-MiFID trading landscape, managing the firm’s initiatives in conjunction with both the established exchanges and the new and emerging alternative liquidity venues and dark pools. Steve has also played a significant part in bringing the Fidessa Fragmentation Index (FFI) and the Fragulator™ to the wider trading community. On joining Fidessa in 2004 Steve led the development of the company’s multi-asset trading capabilities. Prior to joining Fidessa Steve was the founder and CEO of specialist derivatives software house Future Dynamics which was one of the companies at the vanguard of the shift from open outcry to screen based trading in world derivatives markets. This business grew to be one of the major facilitators of workflow based derivatives trading and was eventually sold in 2004.

In June 2004, Mr. Kato was appointed as the head of Index Business at TSE. He led the TSE’s index operations and oversaw the development and licensing of Indices including the TOPIX index. Mr. Kato was also seconded to the Bank of Tokyo (presently known as the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ) from April 1994 to March 1996. In November 2010, he was appointed as General Manager and Chief Representative of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. Singapore Representative office. Under this new position, he is responsible for promoting TSE’s products such as Arrowhead, Co-Location, derivatives and ETFs, as well as managing TSE’s relationships with other exchanges and financial institutions.
