Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited

Established in 1984, Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (“Hang Seng Indexes”, formerly HSI Services Limited), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank, is Hong Kong’s major index compiler covering Hong Kong and mainland China markets.

Hang Seng Indexes calculates and manages the Hang Seng Family of Indexes. Currently, the Hang Seng Family of Indexes comprises over 250 real-time and daily indexes that are compiled according to industry, geography or market capitalisation using different calculation methodologies, including the widely quoted Hang Seng Index and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index.

All the real-time and daily index data are disseminated through information vendors such as Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters. Index data are then further disseminated to different applications such as terminals, websites and display boards.

Hang Seng Indexes also issues product licences to fund managers and derivatives issuers who use indexes in the Hang Seng Family of Indexes to develop index funds, exchange-traded funds or derivatives.
