R Nanda Kumar has around 23 years of experience in Securities & Capital Market Industry. In National Stock Exchange, over 14 years in the areas of trading, clearing and settlement, new product development, business development, international relations etc. Closely associated with the setting up and operating of a central counterparty mechanism in India, dematerialized settlement mechanism in Indian markets, introduction of new products and applications across the debt, equity and derivatives markets.

Prior to NSE, worked in the general insurance industry and the mutual funds industry, with a role that was involved in business process management/engineering and computerization, with a key focus of service to customer.

Current designation at the NSE – Vice President. Role is to provide guidance to the teams in new frontiers across the spectrum of front office solutions, clearing & settlement, risk management, surveillance; scanning the landscape for new products and services to the market participants and making the same available; representing NSE at various domestic and international meets WFE, AOSEF, ACG etc.; and spearheading international relations with exchanges/clearing corporations for sharing and implementing state of the art solutions for other exchanges/clearing corporations.

Sandeep Tyagi has recently founded his second venture, an Investment Management and Advisory firm–Estee Advisors. Estee Advisors is an alternative investment management company which aims to deliver maximized returns for the level of risk undertaken using advanced analytical algorithms. He is responsible for setting the firm’s direction, sustaining a winning culture and developing innovative financial products.

Prior to Estee Advisors, Mr. Tyagi was the Founder and CEO of Inductis, a consulting and analytics outsourcing firm that he founded in 2000. Its unique mix of world-class business consulting and state-of-the-science analytical capabilities & infrastructure has been helping diversified financial services companies in the areas of investment optimization, target marketing and risk management. The firm served several of the largest financial services companies of the world including the asset management, credit card, insurance and lending companies. Inductis was more the 250 consultant strong when it was merged with EXL Service in 2006.

Prior to founding Inductis, he was a partner at the Mitchell Madison Group (MMG), an eminent global strategy consulting firm. He was the leader of MMG’s Pricing and Product Design Practice and co-leader of the eCommerce Practice. While at MMG, Sandeep led strategy engagements in the areas of investment optimization, risk analytics, reengineering and new product development.

Prior to MMG, Mr Tyagi was a Senior Field Engineer with Schlumberger and worked in South East Asia to test and develop oil fields.

Mr. Tyagi has published articles in publications such as the Journal of Business Strategy and Directorship. He is a board member of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Excellence Foundation, a non-profit alumni organization that supports the development of IIT, Delhi into a world-class institution and a Charter Member of TiE. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Service Award at the 2007 convocation by IIT Delhi. He also received the 40 Under 40 Award in New Jersey in 2006. Mr. Tyagi holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BTech in Computer Science from IIT, Delhi. He lives in New Delhi with his wife and two children.

Prashant is AVP in the Principal Strategies Group at Edelweiss Securities. He co-heads the algo trading group there. Prior to Edelweiss Prashant spent more than 5 years in the IT and BPO industry. He is an engineer and an MBA.

ROBIN GRIFFITHS joined Cazenove Capital in 2008 as Technical Strategist providing strategic input and marketing support, primarily to Private Wealth Management. For over 30 years Robin Griffiths has been one of the most respected technical analysts of world stock markets, bonds, currencies and commodities. He became a technical analyst with WI Carr, based first in Hong Kong and then Tokyo before returning to London. During this time he started to develop his own trading system, analysing stock and market trends. He was then chief technical strategist with HSBC for over 20 years. His most recent position was as Head of Asset Allocation with Rathbones. Robin has been an advisor to the ECU fund, a hedge fund using technical analysis to capture movements in currencies since 1985 and latterly to the Rathpeacon fund, a long short equity fund concentrating on the largest 500 companies in the world by market capitalisation. Robin has 44 years investment experience.

Kent joined RCM in May 1999 as the Head of Regional Asia Pacific Trading and is based in Hong Kong, which is one of RCM’s three global trading desk. As at end of 2008, RCM managed approximately US$85bn and is part of the Allianz Group that has assets under management in excess of US$1 trillion. From 1996 until 1999, Kent was the Deputy General Manager of Asian Equity Sales at Nikko Securities. Prior to that, he was the Head of Japan Desk, Asian Equities at Sun Hung Kai Investment Services both in Hong Kong & Tokyo. He has seventeen years investment experience. Kent’s been active as a speaker and on the Advisory Board of Institutional Investors’ International Trader Forum (ITF). He’s worked closely with the Asian Regional Steering Committee of FIX Protocol Organization and is a member of the OMGEO Advisory Board. He’s a strong advocate of STP & Electronic Connectivity. Kent has a BA in Business & Economics/Int’l Business from Western Washington University, U.S.A., and an MBA from the University of Hull, U.K.

A student of economics and science at York University (Canada) Stephen began his career with a prominent full service brokerage firm in Toronto. He joined Etrade as an agency trader during the electronic trading revolution of the dot com heydays. Stephen moved to Hong Kong in 2004 with an appointment at Fimat a leading futures broker in Asia then on to MF Global as Vice President of Institutional and DMA sales. He then moved to Citi as Vice President of Electronic Execution. Stephen is currently the Director of AsiaEtrading.com the leading electronic trading industry portal for Asia.
