A. P. Kurian has a career in the financial services industry spread over more than four decades and has held senior positions in the Reserve Bank of India and in the erstwhile Unit Trust of India.
Since July 1998 he is the Executive Chairman of Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) - a trade body of all the Mutual Funds operating in India. He also holds several positions – Chairman of Geogit Financial Services Ltd., Member of the Board of National Stock Exchange of India Ltd., Executive Committee of National Securities Depository Ltd., Technical Advisory Committee of RBI and on the Boards of Muthoot Capital Services Limited, Hexaware Technologies Limited, Granules India Limited and Haribhakti MRI Corporate Services Pvt. Ltd.
He has extensive professional experience in the international arena. He was a leader of the team which set up the Ceybank Unit Trust in Sri Lanka in early nineties. He was a Common Wealth Consultant and did research in Capital Markets in Tanzania and made a project report for setting up a Unit Trust in Tanzania.
Starting his career as Research Officer - Economic Department, Reserve Bank of India, he grew up to the rank of Director and Advisor - Economic Department. Since 1975 he was with erstwhile Unit Trust of India, the then only Mutual Fund in the country and held several Senior positions such as Director – Investment, Director – Planning and Development and from 1987 till 1993, he was the Executive Trustee equivalent to Managing Director. He was actively involved in the Design and Marketing of several Mutual Fund schemes.
For his original contribution in the field of marketing of financial instruments, the Institute of Marketing Management (IMM) has awarded him Marketing Man of the year 1987 Award instituted by Tata Steel. As an efficient manager, having contributed substantially to the growth of the Unit Trust of India, the IMM has awarded him in 1993 the Best Professional Manager Award instituted by Life Insurance Corporation of India.
He works closely with the Regulator – Securities And Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to put in place highest professional standards and in promoting the Mutual Fund industry on healthy lines. |

Arindam is a graduate in Commerce and a Chartered Accountant by training and has more than 20 years of experience in finance and financial related services in India and Asia Pacific region.
Arindam joined Mirae Asset Global Investment Management as their Head of Asia Pacific Regional Business Development and carried responsibilities for driving the Asia Pacific Business based out of Hong Kong.
Apart from his regional responsibilities, he also played a key role in the setting up of Mirae Asset’s India asset management operations from the beginning. Since August 2007, he took up the role of CEO for the India Asset Management Company.
Prior to joining Mirae Asset, Arindam was associated with Fidelity with their Asia Pacific Marketing team. Arindam has been associated with the Indian mutual fund industry through his career stints across domestic asset management companies. He also pioneered the foray by an Indian private sector Mutual Fund into the Middle East markets. He also has deep insight into global fund management practices as well as understanding of the individual country business models of Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore. |

Chetan is the Founder and Director of Jeetay Investments, an asset management firm registered with SEBI. In September 1994, he went on to become Vice President and Head of Equities at Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Ltd, There he led a team of fund managers / analysts and controlled investments for their equity business. Under his supervision, most funds delivered top performance, in their respective categories and outperformed their respective benchmarks. Apart from managing funds across market caps and various other thematic funds, he was responsible for having the Birla India Opportunities and Birla Equity Plan, win awards for its performance in their respective categories. He was also the key member of the team that launched the Birla Dividend Yield Plus (BDYP) and Birla Asset Allocation Plan.
As ING IM India, he is responsible for overseeing the investment function. In addition, he is a key member of the Management Committee and also provides key inputs in the areas of product development and sales.
He loves to travel and enjoys playing badminton. He has a keen ear for music too and loves spending time with his family. |

Robert Parker is Vice Chairman of Asset Management at Credit Suisse. He is a Member of the Chairman’s Board of Credit Suisse as well as Credit Suisse’s Investment Committee. He has responsibility globally for the management and development of new business and client relationships for Credit Suisse’s Asset Management business.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 1982, Robert spent six years at N M Rothschild & Sons working in the foreign exchange/fixed income investment operation. He started his career at Lloyds Bank International in France in Corporate Finance.
Robert was one of the founding members of CSFB Investment Management. From 1982 until 1994 he led and developed CSFBIM's foreign exchange and fixed income business. In 1994, he became Co-Chairman of CSFBIM and in 1995 he was responsible for integrating the Asset Management operations of Credit Suisse and CSFB. From 1995 until 1998, he was Chief Executive of CSAM's Asset Management business in London.
Robert is a member of the Advisory Boards of the European Institute and Funds Europe and is a member of the Advisory Council of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. He is also Chairman of the Asset Management Committee of the International Capital Markets Association.
