Junko Nishioka, Head of Research & Strategy, Japan and Chief Economist is based in Tokyo. She is responsible for research and analysis of Japanese economy. Before joining RBS Securities Japan in July 2008, she worked at ABN AMRO Securities (2007-2008), Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (2006-2007) and Bank of Japan (2002-2006). Nishioka joined the Industrial Bank of Japan, currently Mizuho financial group, in April 2000, where she started working as Economist of domestic and international economies. Nishioka brings a wealth of personal and work related experiences that allow her to accurately assess market trends and help RBS clients to manage their investment strategies. Kyohei Morita is a Director and Chief Economist, Japan at Barclays Securities Japan Limited. Based in Tokyo, he is responsible for forecasting and analysis of the Japanese economy and monetary /fiscal policy. After starting his career as an economist at Nomura Research Institute (NRI) in 1994, Mr. Morita studied from 1998 to 2000 at Brown University, where he obtained his MA in Economics. From 2001, he worked for three years at NRI's office in the UK, providing information and analysis on the Japanese economy to European and Middle Eastern investors on more than 250 visits per year. Prior to joining Barclays in 2008, Mr. Morita spent four years at Nomura Securities Co., Ltd., where he served as a Senior Economist examining structural issues in the japanese economy. During this period, he developed a macro-econometric model containing more than 220 formulae and co-authored "Asset Formation in an Era of Population Decline" (Toyo Keizai). Drawing on his broad work experience in London and Tokyo, Mr. Morita incorporates a global perspective in his analysis. In the 2012 Nikkei Economist Ranking, he was ranked #4 in fixed income and #7 in equity. Mr. Morita was nominated as a member of the Research Panel on t he Medium- to Long-Term Outlook for Fiscal Consolidation for the 2010 Upper House Budget Committee. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Kyushu University and a master's degree in Economics from Brown University.

Masayuki Ishihara joined Nikko International Capital Management (now Nikko Asset Management) in 1998 from Nikko Securities (now SMBC Nikko Securities).
