Terry Oliver has worked globally to advance sustainable energy and re-engage the electric utility industry in critically important research and development. He has worked for BPA since 1981. Terry led the world’s largest residential conservation program and ground-breaking research in community-based conservation, designed the first Demand-Side Management programs ever undertaken by a developing country, created linkages between sustainable energy, jobs, and the local and global environment with non-government organizations throughout Asia, South Africa, and the Middle East. He helped create BPA’s Non-Wires Solutions initiative.
In June 2005 Terry was appointed Bonneville Power Administration’s first Chief Technology Innovation Officer, responsible for re-energizing, focusing, and managing BPA’s research and development activities. As CTIO, Terry has grown BPA’s investment in research and development, transformed BPA’s the executive and staff engagement defining and managing a research portfolio, and led the creation of technology roadmaps to articulate BPA’s research agenda. |

PJM operates the largest competitive wholesale electricity market in the world and serves over 9% of the United States population. Craig heads PJM’s Washington, D.C. office. Prior to joining PJM, Craig served as Commissioner and Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. As the longest-serving Chairman of the Ohio Commission in its history, Craig oversaw Ohio’s move toward deregulation of its telephone, natural gas, transportation and electric industries. |

Don Von Dollen is the Program Manager for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Communications and Data Integration Group and the leads the IntelliGrid Program. The IntelliGrid Program is focused on accelerating the transformation of the power delivery infrastructure into the intelligent grid needed to support our future society through a unique collaboration of public and private stakeholders.
IntelliGrid has conducted substantial R&D on the topic of Smart Grids and works closely with utilities and suppliers to implement the results of the work. Results are available at www.EPRI-IntelliGrid.com.
Don joined EPRI in 1991 and has held positions as Applications Manager for Power Delivery and Markets, Program Manager for Underground Transmission and Project Manager. Don has managed EPRI’s superconductivity research program including wire and cable development, and research projects relating to transmission cable systems.
Before joining EPRI, he was a Research Engineer with the Pacific Gas & Electric Company. |
